21-Nov-2008

Wageningen, 21 November 2008 - Hosted by Birdlife International, The WOW Project team convened on 13 - 14 November in Cambridge for an internal planning and strategy meeting. The meeting brought together the core technical teams from all main project partners to jointly review the progress and achievements of all WOW Project components in the light of the upcoming Steering Committee meeting to be held in Rome during CMS CoP9.

"With a project of this size and complexity it is very encouraging to see all major outputs taking shape and ready to be showcased at an upcoming Side Event at the Ninth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to CMS", said Edoardo Zandri, the project's  Chief Technical Advisor.

The technical meeting also set the tone for implementation priorities and future work in 2009 and 2010.
