"Building capacity for flyway conservation" - new flyer now available

Wageningen, 25 November 2008 - A new leaflet designed to help promote the flyway-scale training and capacity building activities currently underway in the framework of the Wings Over Wetlands (WOW) Project is now available as hardcopy and for download on the WOW website. The colourful 4 page flyer will be used to help promote the new FLYWAY TRAINING KIT being developed in the context of the capacity building compontent of the WOW Project.

The new training kit developed by the WOW Project, consists of targeted, practical and adaptable training material on the topic of flyway-scale conservation of migratory waterbirds and their habitats. Organised in three main modules (Module 1: Understanding the Flyway Conservation Concept, Module 2: Applying theFlyway Conservation Concept and Module 3: Communicating the Flyway Concept) the FLYWAY TRAINING KIT will help countries build capacity to plan, implement, monitor and engage in action for effective flyway-scale conservation in the African-Eurasian region.
